Jessie Borthwick

Jessie Borthwick brings extensive experience from over thirty years in senior management leadership roles in vocational and higher education, international education, science and research. She held the position of Deputy Secretary, Department of Education, Australian Government where she was responsible for higher education, research and international education. She continues to serve on the board of NSW TAFE, and was previously Chair of the Quality Committee.

Jessie is an experienced and well-respected relationship manager across government and the higher education sector. She works as an adviser and consultant in tertiary education and has undertaken a number of significant roles since finishing up with the Commonwealth. This included a period as Acting CEO of the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education.
